Georgia (Nia Vardalos) is a Greek American tour guide who is leading a tour around Greece with an assorted group of misfit tourists who would rather buy a T-shirt than learn about history and culture. In a clash of personalities and cultures, everything seems to go wrong, until one day when older traveller Irv Gordon (Richard Dreyfuss), shows her how to have fun, and to take a good look at the last person she would ever expect to find love with: her Greek bus driver (Alexis Georgoulis).

The film revolves around a team of trained secret agent guinea pigs: Darwin, Juarez, and Blaster. The team takes on a mission for the US government to stop an evil billionaire who plans to destroy the world with household appliances. Before they can accomplish their mission, the FBI shuts them down and they are sentenced to a pet shop. Darwin, Juarez, Blaster, and their new friends Hurley and Bucky (who is a hamster) must escape the cage and team up with mole Speckles and fly Mooch to defeat the villain, stop his threat, and save the world.
